General Information

Statue is a children's game which can be played by a group of any number of people.

One person, perhaps an adult supervisor for young children, situates themselves at one end of a room or area. This person is the grandmother. All other players stand behind a starting line around 10-20 metres away from the grandmother.
The grandmother will start off the game with a signal, such as shouting "Go!" or something similar. All other players must race to tag the grandmother.
However, at several random times during the game, the grandmother may turn around. Anyone the grandmother spots moving is out of the game.
The winner is the first to tag the grandmother or the last player remaining. The winner will usually become the new grandmother.
