The word hypnotherapy is a melting together of the Greek hypnos (sleep) and therapy. Hypnotherapy is in other words therapy used in a frame of relaxation. In order to be able to move into a condition of calmness and relaxedness, the hypnotherapist or the hypnotist uses hypnosis. Hypnosis is a the same time a technique and a condition. The condition resembles the one, when one drives a car.
