Clean the shells if not supplied clean.
Try not to use aluminium pots as they will become dark. The use of vinegar in the water may reduce this from happening.
Eggs should be left to adjust to room temperature before being placed into boiling salted water.
TIMING
Timing should start from when the water commences to boil after eggs have been added.
Smaller eggs take less time to cook.
3.5 minutes for lightly boiled egg.
4 minutes for a 'set' egg.
5 minutes for a 'soft' boiled egg.
