General Instructions

  • Clean the shells if not supplied clean.

  • Try not to use aluminium pots as they will become dark. The use of vinegar in the water may reduce this from happening.

  • Eggs should be left to adjust to room temperature before being placed into boiling salted water.


  • TIMING
  • Timing should start from when the water commences to boil after eggs have been added.

  • Smaller eggs take less time to cook.

  • 3.5 minutes for lightly boiled egg.

  • 4 minutes for a 'set' egg.

  • 5 minutes for a 'soft' boiled egg.
